Is it real? Well, it’s a real “arc” reactor that generates plasma, but as we explained in the beginning of the video, it’s impossible to create a device that uses less power than it produces due to the Conservation of Energy, a fundamental law of physics: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conservation_of_energy (summarised as energy in = energy out + losses.)
When we charge the phone, it’s just using power from the main battery. Plugging it into the house – also just a skit. Sorry to get your hopes up! But one thing is for certain – it’s the most realistic arc reactor ever made – at least compared to the CGI one in the movie.

Compilation of All Iron Man suit armor in MCU that Tony Stark ( Played by Robert Downey JR ) build until Avengers Infinity War ( 2018 ) from mark 1 ( MARK I ) to mark 50 ( MK L ) including War Machine and Iron Spider
This Iron Man arc reactor looks amazingly realistic when finished, but it’s actually very easy to make. It can be put together with just a few simple materials for around $5. No metal cutting, soldering, or electrical wiring required.

I designed this simple arc reactor kit for the costuming enthusiast. I am selling it in separate parts so that you can pick and choose what you want. If you would like one of them for yourself or just to learn more about it then visit my thread on TheRPF.com.

The biggest challenge making your own Iron Man power suit – that you can actually wear! – is how much detail. Every expects it to look accurate in terms of colour and shaping, and if you’re going to get inside it latches, strapping and so on is a must but… what else? Do you motorise the faceplate? How much lighting and depth do you give the unibeam? What kind of flexibility and motion do the knees, knuckles and neck need? Well, hopefully you’ll agree I went all out on this Iron Man build. Let me know what you think in the comments below.

Tony Stark is hands down one of the most brilliant characters ever designed in the Marvel Universe. He is smart, charming, and just the right amount of arrogant. But, you gotta give it to him, he knows when to be each one and when not to. But what do you expect from someone who has the resources and intellect to make whatever his mind imagines?
We would all probably be the exact same way. Right? Well, there is no real way to know. What we do know is of all his inventions the arc reactor is the most famed. What we also know are a bunch of things you didn’t know about Iron Man’s arc reactor. Don’t worry we are going to fill you in on the details.
Did you know Pepper Pots has her own arc reactor? That’s right. Not in the Marvel Cinematic Universe but in Marvel Comic Universe. She was blown up by a suicide bomber out of revenge from someone Tony killed. Find out about her super powers as well in the video.
Then there is how the arc reactor is actually being built by a team of specialist over at M.I.T. That’s right, very soon we will have an arc reactor brought from the pages of the comic books to the real world. It should be able to power 200,000 homes plus and be almost as small as the one inside Iron Man’s chest.
To learn about how it can be weaponized, the story on how it is not actually designed to keep him alive, its defense against EMP blast, and so much more, check out the video.
