Iron Man Power Suit #3 | Casting Armour Pieces | James Bruton

This video shows how I made a my Iron Man suit pieces.

The biggest challenge making your own Iron Man power suit – that you can actually wear! – is how much detail. Every expects it to look accurate in terms of colour and shaping, and if you’re going to get inside it latches, strapping and so on is a must but… what else? Do you motorise the faceplate? How much lighting and depth do you give the unibeam? What kind of flexibility and motion do the knees, knuckles and neck need? Well, hopefully you’ll agree I went all out on this Iron Man build. Let me know what you think in the comments below.

DIY Cheap and Easy Iron Man Arc Reactor that Really Glows

This Iron Man arc reactor looks amazingly realistic when finished, but it’s actually very easy to make. It can be put together with just a few simple materials for around $5. No metal cutting, soldering, or electrical wiring required.

You can get the free Mark VI Iron Man arc reactor pdf template at: http://www.TheWoodlandElf.com/patterns/ironman

**Edit: Walmart has since stopped carrying the finger lights, but they can still be gotten here from Amazon: http://amzn.to/2gA25Ci

Hope you enjoy this tutorial. If you have any questions or requests for future tutorials, feel free to leave me a comment below. I post a new cosplay tutorial every Thursday and a new crafting tutorial every other Monday, so check back next week for more DIY goodness.

How Our Iron Man Costume Was Made (explanation, not actual tutorial)

Quite a few people have asked about our Iron Man costume, since it’s seen in the background of a lot of my tutorials, so this is a little video basically explaining how our Iron Man costume was made. Just an explanation, not an actual tutorial, since we don’t really want to have to make this thing again; it took months the first time (And yes, you could probably play a drinking game with the number of times I say “um” in this video). You can download the pepakura viewer and designer (you’ll need both) here: http://www.tamasoft.co.jp/pepakura-en/download/index.html (I don’t think they have it available for Mac users yet).
And the patterns used for this suit can be downloaded here: http://www.pepakura.eu/all/iron-man-mark-4-6-full-armor-foam/

Hope you enjoy this video. If you have any questions or requests for future tutorials, feel free to leave me a comment below. I post a new cosplay tutorial every Thursday and a new crafting tutorial every other Monday, so check back next week for more DIY goodness.
